OUR PHILOSOPHY

A family-run business, La Picentina has been rooted for years in the territory of Giffoni Sei Casali, in the province of Salerno, which stands out in the Monti Picentini Regional Park. The farm covers an area of 6 hectares, all covered by greenhouses. Four generations of farmers, since 1920, have been carrying on the agricultural experience in respect of tradition, although with an eye to the future and innovation.

The agricultural production of these lands, which enjoy the best pedoclimatic conditions, is luxuriant. Various PGI products are rooted in this territory, including the Nocciola Tonda di Giffoni and Mela Annurca. We are in a hilly area, located between Piana del Sele and the Salernitane Hills, protected to the north by the Campania Apennines. And it is here that our excellent food production comes to life.

● Food safety: All our products are certified according to GLOBAL GAP Standards. Moreover, the company has obtained GRASP Certification (Global Risk Assessment on Social Practice), attesting adoption of Good Practices in the social field, focused to the elimination of use of unfair practices towards the workers

● Respect for the environment: We produce with the Integrated Defence method, guaranteeing a very low environmental impact
